About Me

I’m Michaela Diakiw

As a member of the Law Societies of Ontario, BC, and Alberta, I have been practicing insurance law for over a decade. Prior to my legal career, I worked for several years in different capacities for different insurance companies. More recently, I have worked in a plaintiff-only practice, giving me greater insight into both sides.

Early in my career, I worked in personal injury, including MVAs, farm injuries, slip and falls, among other claims. For the better part of the last decade, I have primarily worked in long-term disability, life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment, and employment law. I have represented both employees and employers within the employment context.

My dedication to the legal field is driven by a profound commitment to delivering comprehensive and astute legal solutions to my clients. Outside of my legal pursuits, I am an advocate for continuous learning and contributing positively to the legal community through mentorship and active involvement.  I have a particular interest in mental health and addiction as disabilities.
